Already for the second time the Refugees Welcome Spain team held the annual Week of Living Together. Celebrating the International Day of Living Together in Peace on May 16th, the Spanish team organised a whole week of fun and informative activities.
Events took place in various cities across Spain to spread the word about the importance of practising a culture of welcome. The Spanish team collaborated with various initiatives that promote an open and tolerant society. Through testimonies and Q&A sessions with locals, refugees, and volunteers, people got an insight into the concept of flat sharing to see how sharing housing, time and experiences cultivates cohesion and social justice. Various events raised awareness about forced migration. The end of the week was celebrated with poetic and musical performances.
We can’t wait for next year!
